tell me

you whisper,

tell me you love me,
even if you lie…

silence on my tongue
mind swirling with
words i long to muster

yet lying in your arms
my voice obsolete…

you respond to my silence,

then ask me…
the question…

searching your eyes, i do…

…do you love me?

Yes. i will always.

and i find myself bereft,

acknowledged with a caress…
until your soft eyes close,
sweet as an angel to rest

shortly thereafter,
i gather my things and leave…

wondering,
if words really do
mean anything?

  9. Words comprise only 7% of comprehension. Facial expression, tone of voice, body language make up the rest. I've paid a heavy price for being highly intuitive to the 93%. There is often a truth I did not wish to see.

  10. Words are like arrows. Once released no one can take them back! Arab proverb.

  11. Ah yes, the complications...sometimes we leave things unsaid, hoping for them to read between the lines...sometimes the words tumble out in a rush, and we wish our mouth had a backspace, and sometimes we're speechless to describe the depth of our love. Nice one, Kay. And thanks for the encouragement today. I appreciate it.

    sweet, sensual game of passion,
I like the lightness of a dialogue between two lovers, like dance - PasoDoble
    hmmm...
the words means something more, always
I'm sure, it's mistery own world.

  20. Words are words.
Who says the words gives them life.
Is he for real or just words.

  27. shadow is a spammer . I saw shadow posting that same poem as comment in at least 6 different blogs including mine. I don't think why would it put such a nice poem in a comment instead of publishing in its blog .

If you don't believe .. search Google for this poem . You will find this poem posted as comment in dozens of blogs .
