Cannibals

a lingering feeling of want
and desire,
not once subsided
since we last parted

so close,
yet far away
a distance of which
space can not replace

although we try
each and every time
ho-humming along
to the beating of passions’
tongue
we become entwined
reveling the addiciton
of...
you devouring me
as i consume you

  7. This is always the part...that seems to have no complete vantage point. How we devour, and wish to, and need to in our voracious appetites. And yet leave, the object of our desire intact...whole...as they were...the thing that made us so hungry in the first place.

  13. Someone once told me how important it was, to write those final lines, so they stick to the sides of the readers brain; long after the words are read. I have noticed you seem to do such frequently, Kay. Your words (here) will do so.
