i don’t wanna.
Nope.
sure don’t.
don’t wanna do laundry
grocery shop
talk to you
read
watch tv or movies
Nope.
i don’t wanna.
go to work
take a shower
get dressed
be social
or smile
pretending to care
Nope.
sure don’t.
don’t wanna
do dishes
clean the bathroom
check my e-mail
Nope.
not gonna.
and you can’t make me
I think we are going through he same phase.
ReplyDeleteIf you really dont want to do all the things then please dont.
It helps when we fulfill our inner desires.
Lovely way of putting up ur emotions.
Nuts..:)
What you might call an off day?
ReplyDeletesuperb....if u don't wanna...den don't
ReplyDeleted best line....."and you can’t make me"
Terrific! Don't we all have these days when we just want to go on strike from life? But not today for me. The sun is glorious and I want to see the ocean up close and personal!
ReplyDeleteThanks for following my blog. I am not sure how you happened there but I am most honored. I love your poetry.
I am thrilled that at the anciet age of 65, I just got my first book of poetry out on Amazon!
( Poems about the things that have been important to me in my journey through life, some humorous, some sad, some that may have meaning to you as well )

there is so much unsaid that could be done...
ReplyDeletelovely Kay!
That's exactly how I feel. Think I'll be left in peace?
ReplyDeletethere are days I wish I was a women, eyes rolled back into my head and not leaving the couch on this day anyway. Cause it's days like these in these specific situations that it is clearly unfair the preferential treatment God gave women as opposed to men. To just being able to sit there and have it continue to repeat over and over like a broken record. While the rest of the world goes about their daily routine working and humming right along (just like under that blanket is going on)
ReplyDeleteyeah i like those days...smiles. enjoy it.
ReplyDeleteI'm surprised you wanted to write the poem. :) Loved this! I don't wanna do anything either. That's why I'm on here reading people's blogs instead of doing productive things!
ReplyDeletePeace!
Rebecca
Kay this is great, I'm sure all of us have felt like this at least one day in our life.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend.......:-) Hugs
I never want to do those things but then my under arms smell and I have to take a shower...but I never leave the house till affter 2 i'm weird...
ReplyDeleteWonderful poem. The graphic fits so well. Unfortunately the don't wanna's only work for a little while. I know I've tried this before.
ReplyDeleteI just stumbled upon your blog.
ReplyDeleteAnd I don't know what to say.
Your poetry is beautiful.
I've been feeling the exact same way lately.
And you put that feeling into words, perfectly.
Thanks for sharing your wonderful talent with the world.
Take care and be well,
Michael
You made me laugh!. It is just how I feel today. NOPE. Hugs across the pond
ReplyDeleteIt's been that kind of day here too. Sullen indulgence - nothing better. :)
ReplyDeleteI often think the same way
ReplyDeletebut I remember,
I must do it now, at today,
who know: will be tomorrow or not?
Kay,
Thanks a lot for being
:)
Have a great weekend.
Kisses
Fair enough, I'm a natural Oblamov myself. Good poem.
ReplyDeleteDepression? Well that's how my depression were speak if it had a voice. Rather it opens it's mouth and declines even to utter. It don't wanna!
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend Kay!
I would comment but I dun wanna! LOL
ReplyDeleteNo I can't make you, but I want you to make yourself.
ReplyDeleteA day that everyone comes across. Grabbing hold of yourself here, eh?

Re: starting another blog about vegan/vegetarian recipes etc, I think it's a great idea. And from the comments on my blog there is agreement.
I for one have no imagination when it comes to food and now as a vegetarian I have to put in more effort to make sure am getting the nutrients, protein etc.
Go for it! But running two blogs may be Hell. Good luck Kay:)x
Oh my gosh! I am so there, for the last
ReplyDeletemonth now. Don't wanna, my sudden theme song.

Gabi
It is humorous. Truthful..
ReplyDeletei love days like that, until i feel that way for like 30 days in a row. yeah. here via mama zen.
ReplyDeleteI know exactly what you mean.....i call them 'dustbin days'. And i authorise myself to all the 'i dont wannas'.... sometimes, out of rebellion.
ReplyDeleteThough, its important to revindicate one's freedom and not one's lassitude.
right now i m doing less blogging and allowing myself to be lost in the woods and landscapes, and lying in a hammack with a book. And visiting places.
Thankyou for the 'i'm fed up attitude' and taking the time to breathe to do other things as well, is'nt it!
You know what? No matter how much I don't want to do the other stuff... by golly.... I've just gotta check my e-mail. :-)
ReplyDeleteHeck me neither..hahaa i don't wanna..and i know exactly what you are saying..been there and know the feeling..sigh :)lovely read!
ReplyDeleteI can see why this was so loved by your readers. Sometimes you just have to say No - you can do it, think of it as self-preservation. I know it's hard though. I'm dealing with someone that just won't listen to that particular word right now, and I might just have to move on respectfully.
ReplyDeleteFantastic poem. Perfect photo. =)
We've all felt this way for sure! But the character in the poem is not afraid to admit it and say it loudly & proudly.Maybe that's why it is a cool poem? You've been writing your head off!All the best...LL
