if i may
swine dive off the tip top
of the old pine tree
deep into the murky, cold
pond below
gliding along freely
in dark blue midnight cool air
water gliding through
nude limbs
becoming one
water and body
mind and soul
exasperated
floating in the center
gazing amongst the star lit sky
breasts open to the lightening
cool breeze, mist ensued
across damp vulnerability
exposed, hidden
as one
allow me to sink
deep into your quiet darkness
to spread wings
breaking the depths fo the waters edge
lady of the pond
fly
Very haunting and sensual, Kay. I love this one. The picture is very cool too :)
ReplyDeleteHugs :)
definitely sensual...there is just something about water against your bare skin...
ReplyDeleteThe words in the case do not need the image. The words are enough to create images in my mind. Although your image is pretty good.
ReplyDeleteOh this reminds me of when I use to go skinny dipping, (don't tell anyone) I loved the feel of the water as I swam without my swimsuit......you captured the feeling beautifully.....:-) Hugs
ReplyDeleteKay, can I come climb that tree and jump with you? Please, please, please??? So real, I felt the cold water as we broke the surface. You only get better with each poem. Love to you & Blessings...
ReplyDeleteyou make me want to fly....... great writing kay!

N the image goes with the piece very well...bt it really didn't need tht!!
I loved this entirely, but especially "... swine dive off the tip top/of the old pine tree..." and "... water and body/mind and soul..." Perfectly beautiful imagery!

ReplyDeleteBeautiful... you really captured me with this one.
ReplyDeleteWow, you swept me of my feet. How very sensual and haunting.
ReplyDeleteJust a thought - did you mean 'swan dive', rather than 'swine dive'? I thought pigs flew, but never heard of them diving...
ReplyDeleteWOW this is deep!! the photo spooked me at first, made me feel the murk and cold, ice, your poem turly captures this. Sensual, DEEP, capturing.. GREAT WRITING as always!

ReplyDeleteYou rock me into you...my hammock is strung between two stars hanging in 'your quiet darkness'!
ReplyDelete"across damp vulnerability exposed, hidden
ReplyDeleteas one" I like this it matches with the photo perfectly. The photo reminds me of a water isoloation chamber.
