let me down easy

let me down easy
lay battered limbs
down softly
upon a feather bed,
a deep plush nest
tucked in warmth
swaying in forgiveness’s arms

thermometer of my heart
beat down the walls
to be rebuilt,
break apart
the pieces
that need be forgotten
and let me down easy,
lay mingled limbs
down softly
to start anew

  1. Beautiful. I like to think of our sectional sofa as my nest. I snuggle into the corner for hours.

  4. These lines reminds of the song ..

    ♫ The smile on your face .. Lets me know .. That you need me .. There's a truth .. In your eyes .. Saying you'll never leave me .. The touch of your hand says .. You'll catch me whenever I fall .. You say it best ..... When you say nothing at all !! ♫

    Take care !
    Sourav .. in love with me and life!! :)

  11. Beautiful sentiment. Lay me down easy. I try, he tries, and still it seems a long fall onto hard truths. This could be a slow and soulful blues ballad. Can't you hear it...?
