both lost
unknowingly
both searching for the way,
persistent and struggling
to fill the hole of lost opportunities
busy, misguided, struggling
with irreparable damages
would it be possible,
we both reach out simultaneously
and find the other there
as we languidly seek refuge
falling back into the comfortable pretense
of our existence
i feel the longing, but hesitate to fall back into anything comfortable...
ReplyDeleteVery good words for the day, at least my day. Not sure it is possible, not to be comfortable anyway.
ReplyDeleteWe all seem to gravitate back to our comfort zones whether they are good for us or not.
ReplyDelete..........:-) Hugs
Surreal.
ReplyDelete"Comfortable pretense of our existence." Yikes. Beware. Danger danger Will Robinson. Sometimes we come dangerously close.
ReplyDeleteSo very solemn but well written, Kay.
ReplyDeleteMargie :)
I agree with Fareed, "Surreal"
ReplyDeleteIt's so wonderful, especially the last two lines. I loved the photo you put, the darkness in it helped me picture the poem's atmosphere.
A void to be filled by those searching to fall in and find what they are looking for
ReplyDeleteirreparable damages, are there such things I wonder sometimes...

ReplyDeletemaybe they would poke back ... ;)
ReplyDeleteif you are lucky
you write in a way I can see it...feel it...and know the dance....
ReplyDeleteThe heart and emotions are always beautifully captured in your words. This is a wonderful poem.
ReplyDeleteYour poems always depict a tinge of longing. This leaves a pain within. Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteWhat a subtle sadness from the land of shadows
ReplyDeleteboth lost their way,
both looking for magic risky love...
exactly
they are both
