the truth

you can look,
but you can’t really tell
what’s truly going on inside

the mind
the walls
pristine the exterior
shining the light

what’s underneath
the shield
may never truly be reveled
yet you may ponder
and question

hoping to discover
the truths held within
the protective mind

distracted
by your own secrets
devised
your own agenda

to make sense of what is real
variable on whatever pieces
you may find

the truth remains skeptical
for it is all
of what you make of it

the truth,
is in your lying mind

  3. mmm...tight write...our truths are al colored by our own minds...we take what we are given and form a picture...sometimes much different from the reality...but how can we do more unless we are told...and then of course it is that persons perception...

  7. Truth is a GREAT topic in any discussion, especially poetically stated. For poetry sometimes has a way of hiding truth--from me, that is--and I try to do the same, but lots to learn.

About anything--there IS only one "Truth". Anything more--or less--than truth is false.

Brian sure got "with it". He is SO good!

At the beginning, I knew how this writing would finish...something like what you wrote, in the lie which abides in your mind...

Thank you SO much--it is a GooooD! post.

  11. to look deep into another's eyes and try to
discern their thoughts: joy & pain is a
momumental task, because we must completely
forget ourselves and our own perceptions.
    insightful writing, kay.
