Still My Heart




quiet stillness rests in my heart
the thumpty thump
ribcages rest
Love-abound riveted past
heart a flutter, butterfly beauty
wing span spread
with ease and grace
opening your palm,
blowing wishes in the evening breeze
releasing gently
to pitter patter on my new found
wings
harmony
whisked within
serene surrender obliged
my heart hushed

    Oh, I LOVE this one Kay. I think you and I may be feeling similar things these days. This is so beautiful....it really touches my heart and, wow, just everything. This is a beautiful poem!

    Oh, dear... the image had me fooled! I saw it as a strange person looking towards the right of the picture! Extremely disconcerting until I saw the female on her knees with head thrown back - looking to the left! :)

    Loved the image as it cloaked the writing. My heart rarely hushed, I hold this close....a distant memory, but perhaps soon.

    The moment I read it I knew I needed to respond. No matter how it seems that not a word you have said has really been heard, you would probably be amazed to find out in the future how many seeds you planted in those minds you taught. I just know that is true for you.

    Don't be deceived by what you see on the outside. Often what is being sown is hidden underground where it can't be seen till it grows and matures.
