Fulfilling Salt

The salt of my tears
Season the frozen dinner I eat tonight
You said you would call
You said, we would meet at 8:30
I sent you a message at 8:45
Receiving no reply
By 9:20, I was hungry
Bereaving
You never fail at being deceiving
I have grown to find my tears
Much more fulfilling
and alway reliable.

  8. Men are simple devils and cannot tell time without a woman there to tell them what time it is. I'd have brained him with the (still) frozen dinner, if he would only have obligingly shown up and presented his head.

  13. When someone shows you their "true" face the first time, always remember that is who they really are and will not change. It's time sweetie to move on, embrace the good, let go of the bad and learn the valuable lessons from your experience......:-) Hugs

  15. Sad and heartfelt words. Tears have the ability to comfort us and restore balance to hurting souls.
When tears are more reliable than words it is time to step into courage and open the spaces once filled with hurt, with happiness and real love.
Beautiful and heartfelt. Thank you, Kay. You are a beautiful woman and beautiful soul.

  16. Incredible writing but it brought back memories of tears spent, for a few that didn't deserve them.

  23. Damn Kay. I hope this wasn't true. I hope some poor shlub didn't really stand you up. It's a unique seasoning, one I don't often have an appetite for. Lovely poem whether truth or fiction.
