As with all profoundly simple things this wonderful poem raises so many important life questions. Is she un-open to a love that is right there in front of her? Has he found in her that which she can never find in him? Does she recognize in his beautiful words manipulation instead of love?
Life and relationships can be achingly complex within their profound simplicity.
I'm wondering if it is significant that nearly all of his words are capitalized. You must have chosen to do that for a reason. Despite his whispering, are his words calculated and overblown? Has he used them before? Is that why she is looking past him for love?
Loved your poem....Not simple at all, very honest and raw...could feel the pain, thank you for sharing and for visiting me and I do hope you drop by soon....:-) Hugs
Just a simple girl with many thoughts and too much time alone with them. I write with human emotions, I am not; however, depressed, morbid, angry....any thing but a normal girl. Many times already, I would like to leave a note of what each piece means to me, but I leave that to the reader to decide--as that is the beauty of art. Interpretation.
Some pieces may not be what they seem...is what I mean.
Kay,
ReplyDeleteBeautiful in its simplicity!! I can feel with her,
